Teacher Curriculum Center

ConSource is committed to providing valuable resources to teachers that will assist them in their classrooms as they discuss topics related to the Constitution. Students benefit as teachers utilize primary and secondary source documents in their lesson plans. Noticing a need for teachers to have better access to these important resources, ConSource is developing lesson plans that meet the needs of teachers and their respective students.

ConSource is developing a center for teacher resources where lesson plans are currently aligned with the standards of New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. However, it is expected that these lesson plans may also be easily adapted by teachers in other states. Lesson plans link to related documents within the ConSource library, which includes newspaper articles, personal notes, letters, and other genres and often authored by notable figures such as George Washington, James Madison, and others.

The project's next phase in curriculum development is to invite teachers in each of the states to explore the ConSource library and write their own lessons based on their state's standards.  These lessons may be posted in the Curriculum Center as a resource for other teachers nationwide and specificially for their specific state.  Please submit authored lessons to the ConSource Curriculum Developer, Eleesha Tucker at eleesha.tucker@ConSource.org, for review.  If chosen, your name and school will be posted with your lesson.

Together we can create the most comprehennsive curriculum center on the Constitution.
