Adoption Process

You or your family, class, company, or club can adopt documents on ConSource — national treasures that created "We the People" — which will make them free for the sixth grader to the Supreme Court justice.

You can adopt a document for one year for $250 or two years for $400.1 In recognition of your adoption, you can identify a sponsor "caption," or the name you would like to credit for the adoption, a picture (for personal adoptions) or logo (for corporate adoptions), and a link to a website of your choice.

Document adoption is simple. You can start by doing one of the following:

  1. Browse the ConSource Collections and take note of the titles and URLs of documents you'd like to adopt.
  2. Submit a donation using our online form and either tell us which documents you'd like to adopt or tell us to contact you about document adoption.

Thank you for your support in creating the world's most comprehensive online library of constitutional sources!

1. All contributions to ConSource, including document adoptions, are 100% tax-deductible. ConSource has been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
