William Blount to Joseph Clay (June 11, 1787)

Newyork June 11th 1787
At present there are not States enough represented to form a Congress and I believe will not be untill the Convention rises. The Members of the Convention observe such inviolable Secrecy that it is altogether unknown out doors what they are doing. I shall leave this in a few days to take my Seat among them.1
