Robert Carter to George Mason (August 25, 1791)

Nomony Hall 25th Augt. 1791
DEAR SIR
The Wish of the Representatives of the late Mrs. E: Lowndes & myself to have you to determine our matter of difference seem to accord so perfectly; that I presumed that an award would certainly be made up by yourself, and Bonds have actually been exchanged.
Mr. Maund is now ill, which prevented his returning to me your Letter; however I mistake not the Time appointed for the Decision interfered with Business of your own—I now propose that you yourself appoint both time & place for the hearing the matter, and that you will advise accordingly. I am Dear Sir, Your very Hum. Servt.
ROBT. CARTER
