Jean Baptiste Petry to Comte de Montmorin (January 12, 1788)

The delegates elected by the inhabitants of the state of Georgia to consider, ratify, and adopt the Federal Constitution proposed by the deputies of the United States at Philadelphia, have, with a unanimous voice, adopted and ratified it on the 2nd of this month.1 I have the honor to subjoin here the translation of the act which these delegates signed accordingly.
